Activision heeft bekendgemaakt dat Call of Duty: Ghosts, de meeste pre-orders heeft op de PlayStation 4 en Xbox One. Dit betreft de pre-orders die zijn gedaan in Noord-Amerika. Het statement van Activision luidde als volgt:
Call of Duty: Ghosts is the No. 1 best-selling game on PS4 in North America at Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart, and also the No. 1 pre-ordered Xbox One title in North America at those retailers for launch.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is sinds 5 november 2013 verkrijgbaar voor de PlayStation 3, Wii U, pc en voor de Xbox 360. De PlayStation 4-versie verschijnt op 29 november. De Xbox One releasedatum voor Europa is nog onbekend.
