Blizzard Entertainment heeft in een persbericht bekendgemaakt dat World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria al 2,7 miljoen keer is verkocht in de eerste week.
Daarnaast heeft de game weer de tien miljoen abonnees bereikt en groeit dit aantal nog steeds. Mike Morhaime, CEO en mede-oprichter van Blizzard, reageerde hierop als volgt:
With Mists of Pandaria, we set out to expand on the sense of fun and discovery that's always been at the heart of World of Warcraft -- in addition to adding a huge variety of new content and features to the game. It's been gratifying to see the results of all of the work we put into this expansion and to hear all of the positive feedback from players so far.
Blizzard maakte ook bekend dat er op dit moment aan een grote content-update wordt gewerkt. Hier zullen we binnenkort meer over te horen krijgen.
World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria verscheen op 25 september exclusief voor de pc.
