Lords of the Fallen 2 zal in 2017 verschijnen

In een interview met Eurogamer gaf Marek Tyminski, studio lead van CI Games, aan dat we Lords of the Fallen 2 ergens in 2017 kunnen verwachten. De ontwikkelaar van het eerste deel, Deck 13, zal niet meehelpen aan dit vervolg.

It's doing fine. We are over 900,000 units. Not yet 1m but we are approaching that. And definitely it's a good start for the new IP. Definitely we can say that Lords of the Fallen 1 proved the IP made sense.
We are not working with Deck 13 right now. We are starting the project, we start from the concepting, but we definitely will be working with a lot of partners.

Waarom de samenwerking met Deck 13 niet meer is, is erg onduidelijk. Tyminski wilde hier geen informatie over vrijgeven.

To be honest it's confidential. We have spoken about certain things we could probably do after the release of Lords of the Fallen but at the end of the day we came to the conclusion, both sides, that it won't happen, and as far as I know they have another project, and I wish them luck.

We have very clear thinking on how we want to make Lords of the Fallen 2 and we have a very good idea. We're taking all of the lessons from Lords of the Fallen 1 to make a much better game and to make it more efficient from the production perspective.

Eerder deze week was daar het nieuwsbericht, dat we binnenkort een GOTY Edition kunnen verwachten van Lords of the Fallen voor de PlayStation 4, Xbox One en pc.
