Microsoft wil ook een handheld
Nintendo en Sony zijn momenteel beiden actief in de handheldmarkt. Microsoft houdt het echter bij de consolemarkt, maar daar komt volgens Shane Kim, vice president Microsoft, ooit verandering in.
We've chosen to focus on the living room experience from a hardware standpoint, if you will, but we're building a service in Live that will extend to other platforms. For us, it's a matter of focusing on 'when', because if we chased after a mobile or handheld opportunity, we would not have the resources and ability to do things like Project Natal.
Microsoft weet voorlopig dus alleen dat ze een handheld willen ontwikkelen, maar of dit een echte handheld wordt zoals de Nintendo DS en PlayStation Portable is nog maar de vraag. Nintendo en Sony zijn in elk geval gewaarschuwd.
