Activision Blizzard heeft besloten om de game StarCraft 2 uit te stellen tot 2010. De reden hiervoor ligt bij hun nieuwe online service battle.net. Ze willen de game tezamen met deze service uit laten komen. Hieronder kun je lezen wat Bobby Kotick van Activsion Blizzard over battle.net wist te vertellen:
A true online destination platform, Battle.net will become the foundation for connecting the tens of millions of members of the Blizzard community in a social gaming network across all Blizzard's future games. To put Battle.net into context, it will be a service similar to Xbox Live and it will leverage the technologies, infrastructure, and expertise that Blizzard has developed over the last decade in multiplayer play and social networking.
Helaas weer een game erbij die uitgesteld is. Voor de Starcraft fans is het nog even wachten dus. Starcraft 2 zal verschijnen in 2010 voor de pc.
