Nintendo heeft een nieuwe Mario Party aangekondigd tijdens de Nintendo Direct. Mario Party Superstars is de nieuwe titel die dit jaar wordt uitgebracht.
De trailer van Mario Party Superstars toont verschillende minigames uit de game. Het lijkt erop dat het gaat om een collectie van alle vorige Mario Party-minigames. Superstars heeft in totaal honderd verschillende minigames met vijf speelborden afkomstig uit de Nintendo 64-era, zoals Peach's Birthday Cake en Space Land. Daarnaast heeft Superstars de mogelijkheid om online tegen elkaar te strijden met zowel vrienden als onbekenden.
Mario Party Superstars komt op 29 oktober naar de Nintendo Switch.
