PrimeSense kondigt PC motion controller aan

PrimeSense dat de licentie van Microsoft's Kinect kreeg, heeft ongeveer het zelfde systeem aangekondigd voor de pc.

PrimeSense zal samen met Asus het apparaat op de markt brengen voor de pc en deze zal dit jaar gedemonstreerd worden op de Consumer Electronics Show. Het apparaat wordt officieel "Wavi Xtion" genoemd. Het apparaat zal draadloos zijn en zal zorgen voor een huiskamer gevoel. Er zal ook een online store verschijnen met apps. De software voor ontwikkelaars om games te ontwikkelen iss pas net klaar.

The WAVI Xtion media center for the PC leverages ultra-wide band wireless link and PrimeSense 3D sensing solution to provide controller-free interaction experiences in the living room, said the announcement release today.

Users can browse multimedia content, access the Internet and social networks, and enjoy full body interaction in a more user-friendly and natural living room experience.

Developers will also have the chance to sell their applications on the upcoming Xtion online Store.

De Wavi Xtion zal naar verwachting in februari in de winkels liggen.
