PS3-titels worden opnieuw uitgebracht voor de PS4

Shuhei Yoshida, de grote baas van Sony Worldwide Studios, heeft in een interview met website Eurogamer laten weten dat Sony erover nadenkt om alle PS3-games opnieuw uit te brengen voor de PlayStation 4 op disc. Dit omdat de PS3-games niet afgespeeld kunnen worden op de nieuwe console.

PlayStation en PlayStation 2-games werden nu ook al geregeld uitgebracht op het PlayStation Network voor de PS3. De games worden nu ook soms her-uitgegeven in een HD-jasje.

So I think for some games it will make sense for us to look at, but we are not talking about any more about our titles other than the four titles.

Sony gaat sowieso de Gaikai-technologie gebruiken om PS3-games speelbaar te maken voor de nieuwe console van Sony. Yoshida bedoeld in dit geval de fysieke versie van de game en dan opgepoetst.
